From Los Angeles/San Diego
Take Highway 101 North to Santa Barbara. Exit at Arrellaga Street and continue four blocks to one-way Chapala Street. Turn left. James House Santa Barbara is located on the right hand side of Chapala less than a block from the Arrellaga intersection.

From San Francisco/Monterey
Take Highway 101 South to Santa Barbara. Exit at Mission Street and turn left. Drive five blocks (six stoplights) to State Street. Turn right. Drive four blocks to Arrellaga Street and turn right. After one block turn right onto one-way Chapala Street. You will see the James House Santa Barbara near the end of the block on the right side of the street.

From the Santa Barbara Airport
Take Highway 101 South Bound for approximately 5.5 miles to the Mission Street exit.Drive five blocks (six stoplights) to State Street. Turn right. Drive four blocks to Arrellaga Street and turn right. After one block turn right onto one-way Chapala Street. You will see the James House Santa Barbara near the end of the block on the right side of the street.

From the Train Station, Wharf and Beach
Drive North on State Street (towards the mountains) for 1 miles and turn left on Arrellaga Street. Stay on Arrellaga Street for one block to Chapala Street (Chapala is a one way street going right) and turn right. You will see the James House Santa Barbara near the end of the block on the right side of the street.
